Jillian’s passion for interiors is deeply personal, tracing back to the very first home she renovated in 1992. Since then, she’s renovated seven homes and, along the way, fallen in love with the entire process – exploring and imagining what could be and then drafting plans, specifying fixtures and finishes and collaborating with craftsmen and builders of the highest quality to bring that vision to life.
After formalising her training at the Beaumont School of Interior Decoration and Design, she honed her craft at a leading studio in Brisbane before establishing her own boutique interior design and decoration studio in Brisbane and later Melbourne. As Jillian’s reputation and clientele has grown, so have the variety of projects she’s done, and although each one is unique, one thing remains constant - the emotional reward she gets as she sees her clients enjoy their beautiful homes.
Jillian brings an extensive knowledge of the world of interior design to her projects, a skill set that often adds great value to clients. This experience is shaped by her varied roles in interior design and decoration, wholesale and retail interiors, industry magazines and awards, and more recently, as General Manager of the Mercer School of Interior Design. This role, in particular, has inspired her to give back to the industry she loves, and become involved with programs that support the next generation of designers and imbue in them the same lifelong passion that started her journey.
